Brown County Common Pleas Court – The Brown County Common Pleas Court, operating weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., handles all adult felony criminal cases and civil cases filed in the County. It has the authority to issue injunctions and certain legal writs and holds appellate jurisdiction over some state and local administrative decisions. The Court also oversees the Brown County Grand Jury and manages the Probation Department, which supervises criminal defendants on community supervision.
